Specifically, this forum is dedicated to promoting businesses and organisations within the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Gauteng Province of South AfricaThe JAMii Business Forum City of Tshwane Metro serves as a platform for networking, collaboration, and promotion of businesses and entities operating within this vibrant region of Gauteng. The City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality, also known as the City of Tshwane, is the metropolitan municipality that forms the local government of northern Gauteng in South Africa. The metropolitan area is centred on the city of Pretoria with surrounding towns and localities included in the local government area.

The City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality is classified as a Category A municipality. The Municipality was established on 5 December 2000 through the integration of various municipalities and councils that had previously served the greater Pretoria area and surrounding areas. The City of Tshwane boundary was further amended on 28 May 2008 through incorporating the former Metsweding District Municipality, including Dinokeng tsa Taemane (Cullinan) and Kungwini (Bronkhorstspruit), into the City of Tshwane. The incorporation enlarged Tshwane to 6 345 km². Currently, Tshwane stretches almost 121 km from east to west and 108 km from north to south, making it the third-largest city in the world after New York and Tokyo/Yokohama. It also makes up more than 30% of Gauteng.

The current regions are:

Region 1 is situated in the north-western part of the metropolitan area and comprises three main zones: a southern zone (Akasia, Rosslyn and Pretoria North), a northern zone (Klip-Kruisfontein, Ga-Rankuwa, Mabopane, Winterveld and Soshanguve) and the rural zone in the west.

Region 2 is located on the northern part of the City of Tshwane and includes Kudube, Hammanskraal, Stinkwater, Suurman and Babelegi. The Region is mostly dominated by the Montana area, consisting of Annlin, Sinoville, Doornpoort and Wonderboom, and Hammanskraal. It has twelve Wards (Wards 5, 8, 13, 14, 49, 50, 73, 74, 75, 76, 95 and 96). The region is bordered by the Magaliesberg mountain range to the south and 10th Street in Babelegi to the North of Tshwane.

Region 3 is bordered by the Magaliesberg mountain range to the north and the N4 freeway to the east, including a small part of East Lynne and Silverton. The region includes the Pretoria CBD, the Brooklyn and Hatfield metropolitan nodes, as well as the western area of Tshwane (commonly known as Pretoria West). To the south-west, the region borders on the jurisdiction of Mogale City and to the west is Madibeng in the North West Province. This region is host to the national government offices and forms the administrative heart of government, and as such has capital city status. It is centrally located within the metropolitan area and contains the Pretoria CBD, which is the largest job opportunity zone in the metro.

Region 4 is situated in the south-western portion of the metropolitan area. The region borders on the areas of jurisdiction of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality and Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality, as well as Mogale City to the west. The region is one of the more affluent areas. It incorporates Centurion and Irene in the east, Olievenhoutbosch in the south and the Rhens Nature Reserve in the west. Its strategic location along the border of Johannesburg means that Region 4 has progressively developed further towards the south, with many investors attracted by local developments. It has Twelve wards: 48, 57, 61, 64, 65, 66, 69, 70, 77, 78, 79 and 106.

Region 5 consists of the following areas: Rayton, Cullinan, Refilwe, Sable Hills, Roodeplaat and Onverwacht. The region consists of the bulk of the former Nokeng tsa Taemane Local Municipality, including a small area from the former Kungwini area in the south. It is bordered by the Magaliesberg mountain range, the N1 to the west and the N4 freeway to the south. Region 5 has three wards (Wards 87,99 & 100). The region is largely rural in character with a concentration of tourism and agricultural activity found in the area.

Region 6 is bordered by the Magaliesberg mountain range to the north, the N1 freeway to the west and the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality to the south. The region includes large parts of the former Kungwini and Nokeng Tsa Taemane regions. Some of the areas that fall under Region 6 include Nellmapius, Mamelodi, Jan Niemand Park, Mahube Valley, Moreletapark, Silver Lakes and Mooikloof.

Region 7 is the most eastern area of the Tshwane and is south-east of Region 5 and north-east of Region 6. It is also bordered by Mpumalanga to the east and north, and Ekurhuleni to the south. The region includes the areas of Bronkhorstspruit, Ekangala, Ekandustria, Zithobeni and Sokhulumi. The region comprises Wards 102, 103, 104 and 105. This is the region with the second-largest geographical area in Tshwane.
