Wine lovers are in for a treat when visiting the KWV Emporium and House of Fire in Paarl for unique wine and brandy pairing experiences in the luxury tasting hall and beautiful Cathedral Cellar. From here visitors can also head out to House of Fire - a brandy boutique offering a visitors unique insight in the heritage and process of brandy making.
The KWV Emporium occupies over 22 hectares in Paarl and is one of the largest cellar complexes in the world - offering sparkling wines, natural wines, fortified wines, liqueurs and brandies, a variety of tasting experiences, and frequent cellar tours. Visitors to the KWV Emporium can choose from seven enticing wine pairings including a chocolate and brandy pairing, a leaf tea and chocolate pairing, a sweet wine and cake pairing, a MCC and cheesecake pairing, a wine and artisan pie pairing, and a KWV The Mentors and Perold pairing.

The KWV Emporium is open Monday to Saturday from 9am until 4:30pm and on Sundays from 10am until 3pm. Daily scheduled tours in English, Afrikaans & German. No need to book. Mon - Sat: 10h00, 10h15 (German), 10h30, 14h15 Sundays: 11h00 Request a tour in French, Spanish, Swedish & soon available in Xhosa.
A tour guide will take visitors through a barrel maturation cellar, then the Cathedral Cellar & to the biggest vat in the world!
Ample and secure parking available for cars, tour vehicles and buses. School groups are welcome.
