Word on Fire, this ministry was started with a desire to share the way of the Master, as a testimony of what He has done in our lives. He came so we can have life in abundance, yet many Christians struggle to live a life of fullness. When the storms of life prevail, we need to know Him, His ways and the power of the Holy Spirit to sustain us.
I am Andre Venter. My wife, Evelyn and I, live in Pretoria, South Africa. We serve God with all our hearts and have experienced His abundant grace on our lives and in our marriage. I was born in 1958 and came to know the Lord at the age of 5. Both my grandfathers were involved in ministry in the AFM church and together with my parents, they played an important role in my walk with Christ, which led me to love and pursue Him wholeheartedly.
I obtained a B.Th degree in theology through UNISA and a Diploma from the AFM Bible College. After a few years in full time ministry, I ventured out into the corporate world, where I gained valuable experience working in a secular environment. During this time, I was involved in various part time ministries, teaching at seminars for Men and Woman and preaching the Gospel.
Currently I serve as a full time Pastor at Choose Life Church in Pretoria East, where I am responsible for the Business Support and Divorce Care ministries. We also lead a Bible Study Life Group at church.
