It is a community market run by the Margate and Uvongo Rotary Club, and has operated for more than 30 years. Funds benefit the local community and are generated for upliftment projects, such as crèches, youth development, housing, health and adult literacy initiatives in disadvantaged areas.
Every Saturday and Sunday morning from 07:30 to 13:00, visitors can browse the Uvongo Flea Market’s up to 160 stalls, looking for something special. Pick up anything from handmade clothing and accessories, to toys and tools, pre-owned goods to African crafts, and so much more.
